I won’t say I wasn’t entertained. I was. I had a good time. But man, all that hype for them not to show us anything new? That kinda stinks. Like “let me see if I can drink this milk that expired 3 days ago *sniffs* OHHHkay nope” type of stinks.
Jon brought the Lannister’s (kind of) and Danny back to the North and it wasn’t retrieved well, check. Cersei and Euron bumped uglies, check. Danny and Jon are relatives hooking up, check. Jon finds out he’s a Targaryen, check. The Night King is out for blood and playing for pink slips, check. And Bran still isn’t a huge fan of Jamie, check.
We knew this. We knew all of this. There’s 6 episodes this season and we just spent one without learning a damn thing. Kinda shitty. Yes it was great seeing Jon and Arya reunite. It looks like Reek is dead and Theon has re-emerged. It was also nice to see Tormund somehow survived the destruction of the wall, although he and his buddies seem to be knee deep in shot as they trail the dead army.
Bottom line I’d like these last precious episodes to be a bit more meaningful please and thank you.
