No, that headline is not an exaggeration. I think the Boston Bruins just ended the Lightning’s season. They never really stood a chance anyway considering any team who’s name doesn’t end in an “s” deserves the worst fate. But the Bruins put an absolute beatdown on the Lightning tonight and there’s still 4:03 left in the game as I write this.
Jake Debrusk scored for like the 38th straight game, Noel Accari buried a rebound with more stitches in his mouth than teeth after losing all of his chicklets a few nights ago, Brad Marchand is scoring even when he completely fans on the puck. It’s only 4-1 right now but I wouldn’t be shocked if this game ends 24-1.
Look out NHL, the Bruins traded away the best hockey player to ever live in Ryan Donato last week and somehow have become the best team in the world.
PS: I cannot wait for Adam Jones to hop on the Sports Hub tomorrow night and tell the masses that somehow this win was actually harmful for the Bruins. Forget Felger, Jones is on a whole different stratosphere with his negative takes.
PPS: The Bruins did this without David Pastrnak. Good Lord.
