What a gut wrenching Easter treat that was. Despite not being ready to go for like the first 7 minutes of the game, the Bruins found a way to get going and bring the series back to Boston. Jake DeBrusk showed up with this beauty
That’s the type of stuff I expect every single night from those two. They need to bring it again Tuesday night if the Bruins hope to advance. Brandon Carlo had maybe his best game as a Bruin. Dude locked it down all afternoon.
I’ll tell you what though, the story of the afternoon was the referees. Tim Donaghy thought that was a horribly officiated game. There was this delay of game penalty where the puck went into the Bruins bench
As if the over the glass delay of game penalty wasn’t bad enough, but the puck just… didn’t go over the glass???? And it was still called a penalty???? And they used the same puck for the ensuing powerplay. Horrible.
Then, Joakim Nordstrom got called for this high stick
I suppose Nordstrom should be more careful with his stick when he gets slewfooted. Everyone knows you practice that stuff as early as peewees, so there’s really no excuse from Nordy there.
Game 7. Tuesday night. 7pm. At the Garden. It’s time to bury the Leafs again. We all know how well they do in game 7’s in Boston after all.
